Linda Lenhoff: OCC's New Content Editor and Writer

The Office of College Communications is pleased to announce the appointment of Linda Lenhoff as Content Editor and Writer. Linda joined the SMC staff on July 26, 2018. 

Linda has an extensive history of editing and writing in the fields of publishing and communications. For the last 12 years, Linda has served as the copy editor for Diablo Publications, working on Diablo Magazine, Napa Sonoma Magazine, Giants’ Magazine, A’s Magazine, Saint Mary’s Magazine, and UC Hastings Magazine, among other higher education and healthcare publications. She also writes for Diablo, San Francisco Magazine, SoCal Life Magazine, and Oakland and Alameda Magazines, along with a number of websites. She began her career as the editor of city guidebooks for Access Press in Los Angeles, worked as a science editor for Wiley-Liss in New York, and spent many years as a research editor at the Rand Corporation in Santa Monica, where she was responsible for producing all of the company’s healthcare and educational research. 

Linda’s responsibilities at Saint Mary’s include creating content for and editing Saint Mary’s Magazine, the Bulletin, and additional communications materials. She supports the Office of College Communications to promote Saint Mary’s academic distinctions, its faculty, students and staff.

Linda attended UCLA, where she received a bachelor’s degree in political science and a master’s degree in education. She later earned an MFA in Creative Writing from San Diego State University, and taught courses in composition and creative writing. She has published two novels and numerous short stories. Linda lives in Lafayette with her husband, Michael Everitt, a graphic designer. Their daughter, Casey, attends Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, and is working toward a BA in graphic design/graphic communications while co-curating the campus’ Shakespeare Press Museum.
