One Day One SMC is Thursday, April 23!
The big day is almost here! Saint Mary’s College of California’s annual day of giving, One Day One SMC, returns on Thursday, April 23.
This year’s theme, Ignite the Gael Spirit, calls on our SMC community to come together and support what makes Saint Mary’s excellent, unique, and life-changing. You can make your gift starting now.
One Day One SMC is a 24-hour celebration of philanthropy, bringing together alumni, parents, students, faculty, staff, and friends in support of the College’s mission.
Donors can choose to support the areas that matter most to them, with giving opportunities across the College. The campaign will also feature a live leaderboard tracking participation, as well as matching and challenge gifts that can multiply the impact of each contribution. Anonymous donors have committed $50,000 in matching gifts for scholarships and $50,000 for Women’s Basketball.
This year’s effort will highlight more than 30 programs, teams, and initiatives that span the campus—including scholarships and awards, academic programs, student life, Gael Athletics, and more—ensuring that every Gael has access to a transformative educational experience.
This has been a meaningful year for Saint Mary’s, with highlights including:
- launching a Bachelor of Science in Nursing
- beginning the Library Modernization Project
- a $1 million grant from the Templeton Foundation
- three WCC Championships, and
- recognition as No. 7 Best in the West by U.S. News & World Report
These achievements reflect the College’s continued momentum and the strength of the Gael community.
Every gift—no matter the size—makes a difference. Our goal is 1,600 donors. Join us and help ignite the Gael spirit. Your support helps open doors for students, strengthens academic programs, and sustains the values that define Saint Mary’s.
Students are invited to make a gift to the Senior Gift Fund. Seniors who donate $10 or more will receive a special cord to wear at graduation, recognizing their first gift to Saint Mary’s. Visit the table in Ferrogiarro Quad from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Thursday.
