Saint Mary’s Welcome Laurie Panian to Human Resources

Saint Mary’s College is pleased to welcome its new Associate Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer, Laurie Panian, who started on Sept. 4. Laurie has over 20 years of experience in human resources, focusing on employee relations, diversity and inclusion, compensation and benefits, training, facilitation, recruiting, and performance management. She has spent much of her career working for PricewaterhouseCoopers at locations in San Francisco, Chicago, and Tampa and Orlando, Fla. Laurie also worked for four years at Michigan Technological University, specializing in HR operations and organizational development.

“I am very excited and honored to have been selected for this role at Saint Mary’s,” said Laurie. Laurie received her BS in business administration from Golden Gate University. She has several certifications, including Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) and Lean Principles, and is a Certified Civil Mediator.

Having grown up in Martinez, Laurie is very familiar with the College. Her brother graduated from Saint Mary’s and now lives in Lafayette. Laurie is delighted to return to the West Coast.
