Sanitary Sewer Best Management Practices (BMPs)
Sanitary Sewer BMPs:
The College maintains a sanitary sewer permit that regulates the discharges into sinks, toilets, floor drains, floor sinks in janitors' closets and other locations that contribute to the sanitary sewer. No chemicals (acids, bases, flammables or other hazardous materials) may be discharged to the sanitary sewer, unless approved by the permit. Approved waste include gray water, black water and other non-hazardous materials. Sinks in biology and chemistry labs may not be used to discard lab chemicals - these are collected and disposed separately.
