Activities
The Office of Research and Sponsored Projects (ORSP) collaborates with research-active faculty to seek sponsored funding, including federal, state, and organizational grants, to support faculty research activities at Saint Mary’s College. The office also works with program staff to seek sponsored funding to support other institutional priorities.

- Responsibilities:
- Pre-award grant proposal support for federal, state, industry, and other sponsors
- Workshops and training for faculty and staff in grant proposal development
- Budget preparation and internal approvals
- Submission of proposals on behalf of Saint Mary’s College and the PI/project director

- Responsibilities:
- Assists the Director of ORSP with compliance, pre-award and post-award support, communication, budgets, digital book-keeping, among other duties.
- Provide one-on-one services for single-investigator proposals, including the Intent to Apply process.
- Monitor and implement Saint Mary’s investigators’ ongoing compliance with
sponsor research regulations. - Provide logistical and administrative support for Saint Mary’s Institutional Review Board, which reviews methods proposed for research involving human participants to ensure that research is conducted in an ethical manner.
