MAJOR REQUIREMENTS

Students pursuing the Performing Arts Degree with an emphasis in Dance must complete the required lower and upper division courses as set forth below.

Prior dance experience is helpful, but not necessary.

  • Perfa 75/175 Dance Company I/II/III/IV (.25 x 8)
  • Perfa 76/176 Beginning through Advanced Ballet and Pointe (.25 x 6)
  • Perfa 80 Dance Science
  • Perfa 90 Choreography I and Lab (.50 x 2)
  • Perfa 177 Technique Workshop (.25 x 2)
  • Perfa 180/180L Laban and Bartenieff Movement Studies and Lab
  • Perfa 181 Asian Dance in the Contemporary World
