The Executive Council guides the policy and direction of the Associated Students and oversees the Senate, campus-wide committees, and all clubs and organizations on campus. The Executive Council's office is located in Student Engagement and Activities.

Associated Students President - Kiana Paredes

The President of AS serves as the primary liaison between the student body and the administration, faculty, staff, and community members. As the primary officer of AS, they are charged with implementing passed Senate resolutions, serving on boards, committees, and taskforces, chairing the Election Commission, and ensuring student voice in community-wide decisions.

ASVP Rose Velasquez

Associated Students Vice President for Finance - Rose Velasquez

The VP Finance is the chief financial officer of AS, keeps the records of AS funds, oversees the Programming and Development Funds, chairs the Finance Committee, prepares the budget allocation process for student organizations as well as the annual Associated Students Budget, and supervises the use of AS funds.

ASVP Student Orgs Oliver Halstead

Associated Students Vice President for Student Organizations - Oliver Halstead

The VP Orgs oversees chartered student organizations, facilitates the Student Organizations Council (SOC), sits on the Diversity Organization Council (DOC), oversees the new student organization process, provides professional development opportunities and officer training to executive members of organizations, and plans involvement fairs.

ASP Administration Hannah Parkinson

Associated Students Vice President for Administration - Hannah Parkinson

The VP Admin chairs the Senate, facilitates the Institutional Affairs Board and Governing Documents Committee, ensures Senate legislation is implemented, is responsible for maintaining Senate agendas and meeting minutes, and oversees filling Senate vacancies.

My name is Hannah Parkinson, and I am a junior at Saint Mary’s College of California majoring in Politics with a double minor in Theology and Religious Studies and Data Science. I serve as Vice President of Administration, where I lead the Associated Students Senate Meetings and help support effective communication, collaboration, and decision-making within student government.

In this role, I hope to bridge the gap between students and College administration by creating space for open, thoughtful conversations. I am committed to considering a wide range of viewpoints, ensuring students feel heard, and encouraging respectful dialogue that leads to meaningful action.
