Presenting Research & Conference Opportunities

Body

Presenting at conferences provides students a chance to showcase their research as well as their creative work, building their resume while developing skills that will be essential in their future career.

Conference Requirements

At the annual Student Research Conference & Showcase, each Honors student must attend at least once, as well as present either research or a creative project at least once (usually in their junior or senior year).

Students may present any one of their Honors Contracts from any semester, and the Student Research Conference is a great opportunity to share their work and hone their presentation skills.

"My most memorable experience in Honors was taking part in the Honors conference in 2023 and being able to see all the amazing work that all my peers were doing. It was also wonderful to share my honors contract that I worked on in genetics."

We encourage students to present as many times as possible, in order to network, get new ideas, and polish their presentation skills.

Other Conference Opportunities

Other opportunities to present include national and regional conferences, poster sessions, and other conferences and forums hosted right here at Saint Mary's. Read our newsletters to find scholarships to conferences around the country!
