Job Description and Responsibilities:
TASC Tutors are Peer Tutors. They are student leaders who enrich the academic experience of their fellow students through 1-1 and small group tutoring. Tutors are expected to attend trainings (Fall and Spring) and coordinate with the Director of CWAC & TASC or the Tutoring & Learning Coordinator on their availability each semester. Tutoring sessions are scheduled based on need. Once a tutor is scheduled to meet with a student, that date and time is a standing appointment.
A TASC Tutor is a paid leadership position on campus. Tutors must:
- have earned a final grade of B or higher in the course(s) in which they tutor.
- have a faculty recommendation or endorsement.
- have a minimum overall GPA of 3.00.
- have a clear Academic Honor Council record.
- have reached Sophomore academic standing by the Fall Semester*
