Communication Minor

The Communication minor is for students interested in exploring and mastering effective communication, be it interpersonal, professional, or intercultural. In addition to studying the fundamentals of communication and meaning-making, you’ll have the opportunity to try your hand at various kinds of media creation, including print, video, and digital. 

You’ll walk away from this minor with a better understanding of how to engagingly convey your ideas in multiple formats—an appealing skill to any employer.

Lower division

  • Take one foundational course (COMM 102 or 103) and one theory course (Comm 200). Communication minors should contact the instructor of COMM 200 prior to registration to seek a prerequisite waiver.
