Gael Force

Gael Force is the official student spirit club of the Saint Mary's Gaels. Created in 2001, it has quickly grown into the largest student organization on campus. Nearly two-thirds of the entire undergraduate population at Saint Mary's are members of Gael Force. The club plays a vital role in the success of our athletic teams. Gael Force's support and enthusiasm has made Saint Mary's one of the toughest places to play on the West Coast.

A few seasons ago Davidson coach Bob McKillop had this to say about the McKeon Pavilion atmosphere: "It just blows my mind that they have this kind of crowd. This is very similar to [Duke's] Cameron [Indoor Stadium] in terms of the noise level, the heat, the intensity, the passion. Saint Mary's deserves credit for having a crowd that's that supportive."

Membership Benefits

Free admission to all Saint Mary's home athletic events throughout your academic career
Official Under Armour Gael Force t-shirt each year throughout your academic career
Priority seating at home men's basketball games (limit 700 students)
Opportunity to participate in exclusive halftime contests
Invitations to special Gael Force socials and events
Exclusive road trips to away sporting events (such as Las Vegas for the WCC Basketball Championships and rivalry games at San Francisco and Santa Clara)
Facebook updates about game days and other Gael Force events

Membership Cost

Freshmen (Class of 2025): $80 for 4 years

Sophomore (Class of 2024): $65 for 3 years

Junior (Class of 2023): $50 for 2 years

Senior (Class of 2022): $35 for 1 year

Graduate Students: $35

The club has also greatly enhanced student spirit and participation on campus. Membership is open to all students of Saint Mary's College and is based on the student's academic standing.
