Faculty Innovative Pedagogy Grant - NEW! -

The Faculty Innovative Pedagogy Grant (FIPG) aims to support the development and dissemination of innovative pedagogical practices that enhance student learning and help promote the quality of liberal arts and Lasallian education at SMC in the 21st century. Application deadline November 1. Note: Your class with the proposed pedagogy must be scheduled in the following academic year with a department's/program's permission. Annual Faculty Awards

Saint Mary’s College has an outstanding hard-working faculty. There are five awards that recognize tenure-track faculty members for their excellence in the areas of Teaching, Scholarship, Service, Early-Career, and Inclusive community building. Each of these awards has a stipend of $ 5,000. Nomination deadline is February 1. The nomination and evaluation process are explained in the attached files at the bottom of this page. (Currently in work in progress. Will be posted by the early November.) 

  • Inclusive Excellence, Justice & Liberation Award (NEW!)

     This award is to recognize faculty members who have demonstrated exceptional effort and intellectual leadership to promote and foster the Lasallian principles Respect for All Persons, Inclusive Community, Concern for the Poor and Social Justice through service, research, and/or teaching. Committee on Educational Technology (CET)

The Committee on Educational Technology (CET) is dedicated to advancing the use of technology in teaching, learning, research, and scholarship by exploring new technologies, disseminating information and supporting the work of colleagues. Alumni-Faculty Fellowship Grants

The Alumni Association is pleased to grant annual awards to deserving faculty members who embody the Lasallian spirit and illustrate the mission of Saint Mary's College in their work and research. The purpose of the grants is to assist the College in meeting its educational goal of being an outstanding Catholic, Lasallian and Liberal Arts institution of higher learning through faculty development. The Alumni Association also seeks to foster a closer relationship between its members and the College faculty through these annual grants.

All full-time faculty members who taught in the fall, including past recipients, are invited to apply. Recent recipients are asked to wait two years before they re-apply. A committee composed of faculty and alumni will choose the recipients.

 

School of Liberal Arts Travel Grants

With the aim of promoting academic distinction in the School of Liberal Arts, the SOLA Dean's Office is offering two new competitive grants as supplements for scholarly travel. Due dates are September 30th and February 15th. Click here for more information on criteria.
