You can direct your gift to a program in one of our four schools and play an important part in sustaining our academic mission. Such support is essential to the ongoing strength of our programs and the future of our students.

The School of Economics and Business Administration (SEBA)

SEBA is committed to developing leaders who think globally and lead responsibly, building on Saint Mary's deep roots in San Francisco Bay Area business education over the past 150 years.

  • With a Dean's Circle gift of $1500 or more, you can provide critical, flexible resources for SEBA faculty and students
  • Help SEBA attract top students from diverse backgrounds to the school's graduate business programs by offering scholarship support

School of Liberal Arts (SOLA)

Because it teaches students how to think, not what to think, the School of Liberal Arts provides learning that lasts, even in a changing world.

  • Support the Performing Arts and create opportunities for off-campus performances by our award-winning actors, dancers and musicians
  • Give to the Tuition Assistance Program for current and former professional dancers in LEAP (Liberal Education for Arts Professionals), a national bachelor of arts degree program
  • Provide scholarship support for promising writers in the MFA Program
  • Make a Great Books summer reading program possible for talented high school students
  • Contribute to the development of a state-of-the-art digital broadcast studio for the Communications Department
  • Help to develop new leaders through support for the Leadership Studies Programs

School of Science (SOS)

The School of Science at Saint Mary's College educates students to be capable scientists and have broad intellectual interests. Our science program produces students who have strong theoretical and empirical skills, who can ask fundamental questions about science and its methods, and who are ethically aware of the impacts science has on society. You can have a hand in this stellar preparation by supporting our key priorities:

  • School of Science Equipment Initiative to help us deliver quality hands-on education to science majors
  • A strong endowment for science equipment and donations of new and used scientific equipment, allowing faculty to do more and better research and enable more students to participate in creating their own scientific knowledge
  • Scholarship support for student tuition and summer research awards through annual giving or endowment, for students in any discipline, for faculty, and to strengthen four important existing endowments or to create a new one.

The Kalmanovitz School of Education (KSOE)

KSOE owes its strong reputation to rigorous, innovative educational programs and its student-centered learning environment. The School actively addresses the issues that affect education in California and your support can contribute to this mission:

  • Scholarships that open opportunities for low-income students and students from under-represented groups.
  • Technology Development to improve the integration of education technology — like SMART Boards, Nooks, and social networking — into programs and courses.
  • Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) to increase early identification and recruitment of under-represented students interested in teaching math, science or technology.
  • Returning Students Program to increase the recruitment/retention of second-career professionals and displaced employees interested in a teaching career.
