Graduate Certificates in Dance

Our MFA program also offers two different certificates for students who are interested in broadening their scope of expertise to satisfy their own intellectual curiosity as well as make themselves more marketable.

Certificate in Lighting Design for Dance
Certificate in Dance Management

The certificate program has a rolling start date. Once approved, certificate candidates may begin taking courses in any term in which they are offered as long as they meet the requirements for the individual course. Current MFA candidates can also take courses in addition to their program to complete a certificate. 

Prerequisites for Certificates

• Undergraduate degree
• Relevant experience relating to the certificate to which you are applying

Documents required for the certificate application should be sent to cas38@stmarys-ca.edu in an email with subject line: Graduate Certificate Application.

• Resume
• Personal Statement, (2) double-spaced typewritten pages.  Describe your background and current interests in the certificate you are choosing.
• An additional interview may be requested
• Official Transcripts from an Undergraduate degree, sent to:
