Climbing Wall Equipment
Rock Climbing Equipment Checkout
Climbing equipment is available for checkout at the front desk during climbing wall hours. All climbers are responsible for using equipment safely, checking for proper fit, and following staff instructions. Borrowed equipment must be returned to the front desk at the end of your climbing session before leaving the facility.
Climbing Shoes
Climbing shoes are designed to help you grip footholds and move safely on the wall. Proper climbing shoes are required while climbing and should fit snugly without causing discomfort.
Harness
A climbing harness is required for all climbers and helps keep you safely connected to the climbing system. Staff can assist with selecting the proper size, but climbers are responsible for wearing and securing the harness correctly.
Belay Device
A belay device is used by approved belayers to manage the rope while a climber ascends and lowers. Belay devices are available for checkout only for certified users or approved climbing activities.
Carabiner
A carabiner is a secure metal connector used as part of the climbing system. Carabiners must be used correctly and may only be checked out for approved climbing use.
