BA VS. BS DEGREE

Saint Mary's offers two undergraduate degrees in Business, Bachelor of Arts (BA) and a Bachelor of Science (BS). See which degree works best for your future career path.

Bachelor of Arts [BA]

The BA is a smaller degree that provides students with a light yet complete general business training. The lighter load provides students an opportunity to complement the business foundation with a major in another area. The education you receive the BA degree can be applied to roles such as Consultant, Project Manager, and other managerial roles that would benefit from a second major.

Bachelor of Science [BS]

A good fit for students who want a strong overall general business foundation. It is an ideal degree for a strong breadth in all areas of business without focusing solely in one area. If you want managerial roles or functional roles such as Business Analyst, Management Consultant or Financial Analyst, a BS in Business could be right for you.

A Message from the Program Director

"If you are a person who enjoys examining life from many angles, you may not want to focus on just one aspect of business and instead position yourself to coordinate and lead across several different functional areas."
