Courtney Carmignani '05, MA '07
Assistant Vice President of Alumni Engagement and Events

Courtney is the Assistant Vice President of Alumni Engagement and Events, responsible for the oversight and implementation of all alumni engagement strategies, programs, communications, and institutional special events. In her 17 years in the office, Courtney has been responsible for the management and strategy of regional and affinity alumni chapter programming, the alumni board of directors, and alumni association fundraisers. She has served as the advisor to the Student Alumni Association, Senior Year Experience mentor, and on the board of the Center for First Generation College Students. Outside of Advancement, Courtney has led efforts for major campus-wide events and initiatives, including the College's Sesquicentennial celebration, Commencement, Founders Week, and as the programming chair of the 50th Anniversary of Women at Saint Mary's College. Courtney received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication and Politics from Saint Mary's in 2005, and her Master of Arts in Leadership in 2007.
Bryan Navarro '10

Bryan is the Director of Digital, overseeing the online presence of Gael Alumni. He is responsible for the strategy, development and execution of digital content, social media, and web presence for Strategic Partnerships and Advancement, serving as a key storyteller for Saint Mary's to our alumni, donors, parents, and friends. Bryan earned a BA in Communications with emphasis in film/media from Saint Mary's and was an Orientation and Weekend of Welcome leader for three years as a student. When he’s not online, he's spending time IRL with his wife and fellow alum Stacey O'Connor Navarro '05, and future Gaels, Lucas and Casey.

Philip Goodwin '16, MPP
Associate Director of Alumni Engagement and Events

Philip is responsible for two of our office's signature events, including the Summer Wine Festival and Music on the Lawn. He also oversees chapter management and assists with day-to-day operations in the office. He graduated from Saint Mary's College in 2016 with a degree in Politics and a minor in English. In 2018, he graduated from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo with his Masters in Public Policy. For nearly three and a half years, Philip worked in the Office of Admissions, most recently as the Assistant Director of Admissions and the Visitor Center Coordinator. He also currently serves as the Resident Director for the second floor of De La Salle Hall. Philip has previously served on the Presidential Selection Committee, the Staff Council and continues to serve on the Staff Activities Committee.
In his free time, Philip enjoys baking (check out this video from a few years ago!), cooking, and loves a good glass of wine!
Bailey Minardi '16

Bailey is the Program Manager for the Office of Alumni Engagement and Events, responsible for managing logistics, communications, programming, and marketing for Gael Alumni. Bailey oversees all student-related programming from the Alumni Office, including the hiring, training, and supervision of all students staff, and interns. Bailey has been providing event and office management support in the Office of Alumni Engagement and Events for three years. Having received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Justice Community and Leadership in 2016, Bailey is now a double Gael, and currently earning a Master of Arts in Leadership from Saint Mary's College, graduating in 2023.

Frances is the Leadership & Reunion Giving Specialist, responsible for engaging alumni and working with class committees to attend their milestone reunions. She also assists classes with their reunion giving efforts. Frances joined the team in 2017 and has over 30 years of experience in non-profit fundraising and over 20 years working in the field of education including 7 years at Holy Names University where she was the Alumni Director and Annual Giving Director. Frances holds a BA in Mass Communications from California State University, East Bay.
