Our alumni use the professional facilities and equipment available on campus, with faculty mentorship from Saint Mary's Media Production Program.

McKenna James
Creative & Brand Lead, Multimedia Producer for GaelMedia
McKenna James (McKenna Ingram) is an multi-hyphenate creative who holds a BA in Communication (Summa Cum Laude) and MA in Strategic Communication (Honors, Roy E. Disney Fellow) from Saint Mary's.
Selected works include her thesis award-winning documentary, Journey to the End of the East Bay: Where the Punk Are They Now?, the short film Exceptional Municipal Services, and the live multi-camera Tiny Duck Concert. McKenna takes interest in stories that question and disrupt. Her approach is simple: do it right, do it bold, make it matter.
Lucas Maas
Multimedia Producer for GaelMedia
Lucas Maas graduated from Saint Mary's College of California with a B.A. in Communication and an MFA in Creative Writing.
His written work can be found in As You Were: The Military Review, Voices, Pornstar Martini, and more, with another piece forthcoming in Simpsonistas. His media production work has included many short films, promotional videos, oral histories, and podcasting. He resides in the Bay Area with his family.
Adanna Ogu
Multimedia Producer for GaelMedia
Adanna ‘Ada’ Ogu (BA, Media Production ’25) is a multimedia artist raised in the tri-valley, currently residing in Lafayette, California.
Graduating Magna Cum Laude from Saint Mary’s, Adanna was awarded two departmental awards for filmmaking, and worked with other students and faculty to capture events on campus. Outside of working full-time as a Marketing Manager for the Lafayette Library, Ada strives to document lasting community experiences through her work as a freelance photographer and videographer.
Angelina Landeros
Multimedia Producer for GaelMedia
Angelina Landeros graduated from Saint Mary's College of California earning both her B.A. and M.A. in Communication. Throughout her higher education journey, she found a passion for community-based media and social justice projects.
Angelina's skills span short form documentary, podcast interviews, social media engagement, and newsletter creation. Her media production
experience is seen through many different channels and projects, including her podcast interview with two-time Academy Award winner Mahershala Ali, and co-direction of Exceptional Municipal Services. Angelina also leading the marketing of the High Potential Program at Saint Mary’s College.
Mia Franceschi
Multimedia Production Intern for GaelMedia
Mia Franceschi is a rising Communication and Media Production double major with a double minor in Italian and Sports Media. She’s loved sports all her life, but her one true love is baseball, and she’s working to become a social media manager for an MLB team. Mia specializes in short form content like Instagram Reels and Tiktoks and a does some graphic design specifically for social media.
This summer Mia worked as a Social Media Content Creator for the Oakland Ballers.
Jason Jakaitis
Director of the Media Production Program at Saint Mary’s College of California.
An award-winning filmmaker, Jason has also served as Director of Independent Media at the Bay Area Video Coalition, where he supervised community media programs, including San Francisco’s Public Access Television Station and the National Media Maker Fellowship.
