Merit scholarships for first-year students are determined by a student’s official academic weighted GPA and are awarded at the time of acceptance. No additional forms are required to be considered. The conditions of awarded merit-based scholarships are as follows:
Saint Mary's merit-based scholarship will automatically be applied each year for a total of four years of consecutive full-time undergraduate study, provided students meet Satisfactory Academic Progress. Students can receive up to a maximum of $50,000 in merit and other Saint Mary’s non-need based awards per year. Merit-based scholarships are applied towards any demonstrated need-based aid that is offered. For recipients of Tuition Exchange, the combination of Saint Mary’s merit and Tuition Exchange scholarship is capped at the Tuition Exchange set rate of $43,000.

Merit scholarships for transfer students are determined by a student’s official cumulative academic college GPA and are awarded at the time of acceptance. No additional forms are required to be considered. The conditions of awarded merit-based scholarships are as follows:
Saint Mary's merit-based scholarship will be automatically applied each year, for a maximum of three years, of consecutive full-time undergraduate study at Saint Mary's College to end with a baccalaureate degree, provided students meet Satisfactory Academic Progress. Students can receive up to a maximum of $50,000 in merit and other Saint Mary’s non-need based awards per year. Merit-based scholarships are applied towards any demonstrated need-based aid that is offered.
