January Term (Jan Term) is a month-long session held each January in which every undergraduate explores a single topic in great depth and at an accelerated pace. This session talks about the unique blend of opportunities both on and off campus.
3-6pm - Residence Hall Association (RHA) "First Friday", De La Salle Lawn
Spend a relaxing afternoon playing a host of activities while enjoying free food and giveaways!
3:30-4:30pm - Gaels Go Global!, Hagerty Lounge, De La Salle Hall
This session is designed to introduce the audience to summer, semester, and year study abroad options available to Saint Mary’s College of California enrolled students. Academic and financial planning are discussed. Study abroad alumni will also be present to share their experiences.
4:30-7pm - Dinner Available, Oliver Hall
Join your student for dinner in Oliver Hall! Cost is $8.00/guest, Future Gaels under 6 eat free.
8pm - Movie Night: The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part I, Hagerty Lounge, De La Salle Hall
Saturday, October 3
9-10am - Continental Breakfast, Brousseau Lawn
Enjoy a delicious continental breakfast with residential staff and Christian Brothers. If you missed check-in on Friday, you can do so at this event.
10-11:30am - Various Campus Tours, Leave from Chapel Plaza

2-4pm - Academic Showcases
30th Annual School of Science Research Poster Session and Awards Ceremony, Brousseau Hall: Meet students from the School of Science and learn about their summer research.
Open House of the Arts, Museum Courtyard: Immerse yourself in the arts including performing, visual and liberal arts. (Includes complimentary refreshments)
4-6pm -History of Saint Mary's with Brother Dominic Berardelli, Claeys Lounge, Soda Activity Center
Learn about the rich history of the College from Brother Dominic while enjoying complimentary wine and cheese.
6pm - Dinner and Evening on Your Own
