Financial Aid & Scholarships

There are several types of financial assistance available for our students including federal financial aid, scholarships, and other student employment opportunities.

TUITION

The cost of tuition for the 2022-23 academic year for the MFA in Dance is $905 per unit. Both specializations require completion of 60 units.

Federal Financial Aid

Federal financial aid in the form of student loans is available for those who qualify. To learn more about the types of loans available please visit the Financial Aid Office's website. To apply file a free application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) online at fafsa.ed.gov.

Scholarships

Our program currently offers a few partial tuition scholarships to incoming and current students in the form of tuition reduction.

The Distinction in Creative Practice Award (totaling up to $7240 over the course of the program) is given to incoming MFA in Dance students who have demonstrated academic excellence and engagement throughout their undergraduate and/or professional career. The MFA Dance Program’s mission is the quest for truth, the authenticity of living, and the building of a community where sensitivity, social justice, and global awareness are at the core. Please write up to 1,000 words explaining how you have built community around these areas in dance.

Please submit your scholarship essay in your application portal or send it to us directly at mfadance@stmarys-ca.edu.
