Payment Options

We offer a few different ways to pay your tuition and fees here at Saint Mary's College.

You can find a step-by-step guide here, which details out your payment options for the 2020-2021 Academic Year

  1. Pay online with an eCheck or by mailing a check to SMC Business Office, 1928 St. Mary's Road, PMB 4600, Moraga, CA 94575. Check payments are also accepted at the Student Accounts window in Filippi Hall, Monday - Friday, 8:30-5 pm.  Office hours vary during holidays and summer months. Checks should be made payable to "Saint Mary's College".

  2. Apply for financial aid (loans, grants, and scholarships).

  3. Participate in the monthly payment plan. A monthly payment plan for full-time undergraduate students is available for a fee of $75 per semester. (fall and/or spring semesters). SMC offers a 3-month payment plan at $50 per term for graduate and professional students.

  4. Wire transfers are also accepted. NOTE: if you are making a Bank-to-Bank ACH payment, please notify the Business Office at to ensure proper posting. ACH payments do not automatically post to student accounts. Please indicate your student id number or contact the Business Office to inform us of your wire payment so it can be posted in a timely manner.

***Saint Mary's College does not accept credit cards for tuition and fees, including room and board***

Viewing Bills, Making Payments

Students can view bills, make payments, and set up authorized payers in the Student Account Center, linked through GaelXpress. Students and authorized users can also view real-time account activity and official statements.

Parents who have been authorized by their students can view bills and make payments on the Saint Mary's College - CA Student Account Suite hosted by TouchNet. The link for Authorized Users is

eCheck Payments

Students and their families may authorize an eCheck payment without a convenience fee. Similar to a debit card, eCheck electronically debits a checking or savings account. eCheck is only available on our website and must be made from personal checking or savings accounts. Be aware that payments from brokerage or investment accounts may not be processed online. Please check with your brokerage account representative.

Students log into GaelXpress and click on the "Student Account Center".  Click Make Payment and enter ABA routing number and bank account number.

Parents who are Authorized Users go to and log in using your credentials. Click "Make Payment" and enter the ABA routing number and bank account number.

Checks, Money Orders, Cash

Saint Mary's accepts checks, money orders, and cash in person at the Business Office, or checks and money orders by mail to:

When mailing a check payment, please print the PDF version of your bill. Return the bottom portion with your remittance. Please write your student identification number or full name on the check to ensure proper posting.

Checks should be made payable to Saint Mary's College.

Pennies are not accepted as a form of payment. Loose coins will not be accepted in large quantities. Rolled coins will only be accepted up to $15.00. Cash will only be accepted for reasonable amounts and if bundled by denomination.

Monthly Payment Plan (undergraduates only)

If you are a full-time undergraduate student and would like to pay your education expenses monthly, we offer a monthly payment plan for an enrollment fee of $75/semester. Payments are due on the 15th of each month. The fall undergraduate semester payment plan starts June 15th and ends October 15th (for the 5-Month Payment plan) or July 15th through  October 15th (for the 4-Month Payment Plan). Students may enroll through the Student Account Center. This is a voluntary payment plan for each semester, one semester, or no semester at all. It is your choice!

The spring undergraduate Payment Plan will open for enrollment at the end of October. The installments for the 5-Month spring plan will run from November 15, 2020-March 15, 2021. The installments for the 4-Month Payment plan will run from December 15, 2020-March 15, 2021. The enrollment (or set-up fee) is $75 per semester,

If you receive financial aid to cover your allowable charges for the semester, your financial aid will be used to reduce or pay off your monthly payment plan *prior* to any refund (if any) being issued.

3-Month Payment Plan (graduate and professional)

Graduate and Professional students may enroll in the 3-month payment plan for a fee of $50 per term through the Student Account Center. The fall plan will run from August through October. The spring plan runs from January through March.

Graduate Business students on a quarter calendar will have a slight variation to the installments with the summer plan starting July 15 to September 15 and fall/autumn running from October 15 to December 15. The Winter Quarter plan will run from January 15-March 15 and the Spring Quarter plan from April 15-June 15. Please contact us for questions.

On the memorandum section of the wire, please include the student's name and student identification number and any other appropriate identification.

Bank-to-Bank ACH payments may be made, however, please contact the Business Office for the correct account number.

Financial Aid

If you plan to finance your education with financial aid, you must complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
