Saint Mary's College has been fully accredited since 1949 by the Accrediting Commission for Senior Colleges and Universities of the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC), our regional accreditation agency.

This accreditation was reaffirmed in 2004 following a multi-year, self-study process that formally engaged the campus in institution-wide reflection on capacity and educational effectiveness. Being accredited means the campus has met rigorous standards for quality, capacity and effectiveness. Accreditation confers a variety of benefits, especially access to federal financial aid resources.
