Campus Recreation is committed to the safety and well being of our community. With recent decisions regarding opening up gyms and swimming pools that adhere to the guidelines mapped out by the State of California/Contra Costa Department of Health, we wanted to share with you that the reopening of the Joseph L. Alioto Recreation Center will rely upon our readiness as a College to support the resources and protocols for a healthy and safe campus.  Read our Message here.

2020 Rec Movement

University recreation center directors, students, and instructors from 75+ participating colleges and universities across the country are sharing a variety of live and prerecorded workout classes.  Classes include yoga, boxing, cardio, HIIT, conditioning, and more and are recorded and streamed using the TikTok video sharing platform.

The 2020 Recreation Movement helps the community of students, alumni, university staff and faculty remain positive and healthy. Staying active together, even when we’re apart.

Responding To The Coronavirus (COVID-19)

Saint Mary College is currently communicating with the Contra Costa County Public Health Department and following CDC recommendations related to responding to the spread of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19).   

As we continue to track the progression of COVID-19 in the Bay Area, the Incident Management Team is reviewing public health issues and related policy that impacts the campus community.   Please visit Public Safety website for more information.

 

Joseph L. Alioto Recreation Center

Under the management of Campus Recreation, the JARC gives Saint Mary's College students a place to exercise and hang out.  A pool, climbing wall, three indoor courts for basketball, soccer and volleyball, a fitness center, and rooms for yoga, dance and spinning classes the recreation center has plenty to offer for its college community.

The Joseph L. Alioto Recreation Center will be closed March 16th at 6:00pm until further notice.
