Assessment Overview
Since the launch of the current Core Curriculum in 2012, all the Core Competencies and Core Curriculum Areas have been assessed at least once. This year, SMC Core Curriculum and its learning outcomes are undergoing a revision based on the results from the Core Curriculum Program Review. The Office of Assessment and Educational Effectiveness collaborates with the Core Curriculum Committee to design a sustainable and coordinated assessment framework that intentionally focuses on the use of results for curriculum adjustments and pedagogical development.
