Reporting Lost Property
To report lost property to the Campus Safety, please call (925) 631-4282 . If your call goes to voice mail, please leave the following information:

Picking Up Lost Property
Found property is stored at the Front Gate until the next business morning. Property is then stored in our secured storage in the Campus Safety Administrative Office in Assumption Hall. Other locations where items are frequently left behind but taken to the Front Gate are the Library and Recreation Center. Any property remaining after 90-days will be disposed of in accordance with College policy and State law. All inquiries for lost items should be addressed at the Front Gate (24/7) or the Campus Safety Administrative Office in Assumption Hall, Monday through Friday, 9am to 5pm.
Saint Mary's College of California ID Cards
Faculty/Staff/Student Identification cards are returned to the Business Office after an attempt is made to contact the owner.
The Campus Safety Department accepts most items of found property, to safeguard these items and return them to their lawful owner whenever possible. Found property is logged, labeled and an attempt is made to return found items to their lawful owners if ownership can be determined.
Items Not Accepted
The Department will not accept articles of clothing (unless they have significant value) or water bottles. The Department no longer accepts Residence Hall keys or Post Office Box keys (see below).
Residential Hall Keys
Residential Hall keys should be returned to Campus Housing on the ground floor of Augustine Hall next to the Health Center. The Department of Campus Safety no longer accepts Residential Hall keys for lost and found.
Post Office Box Keys
Post Office Box keys should be returned to the Post Office located near Syufy Theater, past the bookstore. The Department of Campus Safety no longer accepts Post Office Box keys for lost and found.
