Staff & Faculty Resource Page
Partner with the Career Center
The Career Center offers a variety of ways for faculty and staff to support Gaels in their career readiness journey. Through our Faculty & Staff Request Form, you can:
- Invite us to partner with you in your classroom with tailored workshops (e.g., job search strategies, resume writing, career fair prep)
- Collaborate on student-focused career events
- Ask our team to table or speak at your program, event, or meeting
- Partner with us to host a Company Trek, where your students visit an employer site to explore real-world career environments
We ask that faculty submit classroom presentation requests at least one week in advance and event requests at least one month in advance. For event and speaker collaborations, faculty participation is encouraged to help ensure student engagement.

Partner With US!
Bring career development directly into your classroom! The Career Center can lead engaging workshops on topics like job and internship searches, resume writing, LinkedIn profiles, and more — tailored to your students’ needs. Please submit requests for classroom presentations at least two weeks in advance.
Looking to co-host a career-related event for your students or department? We’ll work with you to design and deliver programming that connects Gaels with tools, insights, and opportunities. Please submit requests for co-hosting a career related event at least two months in advance, and we ask that a faculty or staff member co-hosts the event to support student engagement.
Planning a resource fair, department mixer, or student event? You can request a Career Center staff member to table or speak — whether it’s a quick welcome, a breakout session, or simply providing resources. Let us know how we can support your program and amplify career readiness across campus. Please submit tabling or speaking requests at least one month in advance.
Take your students beyond the classroom with a Career Center-supported Company Trek. We’ll help you plan and coordinate a site visit to a local employer so students can explore careers, connect with alumni and industry professionals, and see workplaces in action. These experiences bring real-world relevance to academic learning and expose Gaels to potential career paths. Advance planning (4 weeks recommended) is recommended.
Looking to integrate career readiness into your teaching or advising? The Faculty Career Toolkit is designed to help you easily incorporate career-connected learning into your courses and student interactions. The toolkit includes:
- Best practices for incorporating career competencies

📊 A recent study by NACE, AAC&U, and the Society for Experiential Education found that 92% of faculty reported students in their discipline asked them for career advice in the past year, reinforcing the vital role faculty play in students’ professional development.
Whether you teach first-year seminars, capstone courses, or anything in between, the toolkit empowers you to support Gaels' career journeys with confidence.
