Our College liturgies provide a viable witness to the Catholic identity and sacramental life of the College community.

Join us on Sunday evenings at 8pm during the academic year for our Student–Led Liturgy in the Saint Mary's College Chapel.

Welcome Liturgy

Every year we come together in community and spirit to kickoff Weekend of Welcome with a liturgical celebration. In prayer, we welcome our newest community members, asking God to bless their journyes as they "Enter to Learn." This liturgy is a celebration of the Eucharist in our Lasallian Catholic tradition, and all members of our Saint Mary’s College Community, whether Catholic or of another worldview, are welcome.

Mass of the Holy Spirit

In keeping with a long tradition dating from the founding of European universities during the Middle Ages, Saint Mary's College celebrates the Mass of the Holy Spirit every year in September. This longstanding tradition of Catholic colleges and universities, calls forth abundant blessings to begin the academic year. As part of the College’s Lasallian, Catholic heritage, we use this time to come together as a Saint Mary’s community.

All are encouraged to join in this special liturgy to bless our entire community at the beginning of another academic year together.

Mass of Remembrance

The Month of November is the Month of Remembrance and Thanksgiving.

During this month, Saint Mary's College celebrates a Mass of Remembrance. During this Eucharistic Celebration we gather as one community in faith to remember our loved ones who have gone before us in Christ to eternal life and give thanks to God for those who are still with us.

The names of our dearly departed are placed before our Eucharistic Table as we pray, in community, for those who have enriched our lives.

All are invited to join us for this special Student–Led Liturgy. Please look to our list of events for the date of this Liturgy.

Our Lady of Guadalupe Celebration

Since December of 2011, Saint Mary's College has been celebrating a rich history of cultural and spiritual devotion to Our Lady of Guadalupe. We continue this tradition that has grown over the years. We celebrate in community a Día de Fiesta which includes: Danza Azteca, a Procession, Liturgy, and Fiesta.

Initiation Sunday

Celebrate Initiation Sunday with the SMC Community! During this yearly liturgy, our OCIA Student will be fully received sacramentally (Baptism, First Communion, and Confirmation) into the Catholic Church.

This liturgy will be held in the Saint Mary’s College Chapel every year in April.

All are welcome and invited to witness and take part in the Celebration of the Sacraments for our beloved students and stay for a reception following the liturgy.

Commencement Liturgy

As is our tradition, Commencement Liturgy will be celebrated at the opening of Commencement Weekend. In prayer, we are reminded of one of our greatest hopes for our graduates as they leave Saint Mary’s which is forthcoming in every encounter they have. The liturgy will be a celebration of the Eucharist in our Lasallian Catholic tradition, and all members of our Saint Mary’s Community, whether Catholic or of another faith/spiritual identity, are most welcome.
