The Saint Mary’s LiveSafe app recently received a new upgrade. In addition to the previous features of Check-In, Emergency Options, Safety Map, Report Tips and Safewalk, there are two new information tiles. CDC COVID-19 tile is available to give you CDC information on symptoms, prevention, and treatment, testing and frequently asked questions. We’ve also added a resource tile for the Saint Mary’s CARE Center.

LiveSafe App

Students enrolled at Saint Mary’s receive an alert via the primary phone number, however, we encourage students to also download the app and take advantage of the LiveSafe's advanced features.

Emergency Phones

Emergency Phones

The College has installed emergency/courtesy phones throughout campus. You can find them in the residence halls and some parking lots. You can use these phones for emergencies, to dial outside of the campus, or to call others on campus especially in the following situations:

  • Call Public Safety for an escort to your room
  • Report suspicious behavior or unsafe conditions on campus
  • If you are sick or injured
Community Warning System

Community Warning System

The Community Warning System (CWS) can alert residents and businesses within Contra Costa County that are impacted by, or are in danger of being impacted by an emergency.

The CWS message will include basic information about the incident and what specific protective actions (shelter in place, lockdown, evacuate, avoid the area, etc.) are necessary to protect life and health.

CWS is generally not used for traffic notifications or other non-life threatening incidents.

By registering your cell phone number, you will receive community warning alerts directly from the Contra Costa County Emergency Operations Center.  Saint Mary’s College encourages all residents to register their phone number to expedite event awareness and increase timeliness of messages.

Go to www.cwsalerts.com and click “Register for Emergency Alerts.”  You have the ability to identify three addresses in the system.  Please use 1928 St. Mary’s Road as an address so you would be included in the school alert zone.
