FAQs

The goal of the River of Words Summer Retreat is for participants to escape their daily routines and immerse themselves in creative thinking and shared learning. While it is an option to register for the retreat and commute to campus, the experience is designed for participants to have the time and space to re-energize, build new relationships, and focus on their art and writing. From Yoga in the morning to nights at the pub or on the patio, you can look forward to opportunities to keep your ideas flowing and conversations going beyond the scheduled events on the program.

For no additional fee, participants may earn up to 3 CEUs for attending the workshops and curriculum sessions. Fill out a CEU registration form when you arrive, get it signed when you leave, and we will notify you when it is processed within 60 days of the event. Learn more on our “Register” page.

Conference participants staying on campus will reside in the  lower townhouses. These are apartment style with three individual rooms and shared kitchens and living areas. If you choose to stay on campus, all meals will be included, and you will be within just a few minutes of all events, activities and campus attractions.
