This growing special collection brings together print and electronic books that document, examine, and celebrate the Black experience in the United States and across the African diaspora. Materials span historical events, social and political movements, and cultural expression, including literature, popular culture, and sports. Together, the collection supports learning, research, and reflection on the enduring impact of Black communities on American society and the world writ large.
