How do you welcome and support new members of your community?
At our congregation, we welcome and support new members of our community through an inclusive and gradual process that respects individual journeys. We begin by warmly welcoming all visitors, inviting them to explore our community at their own pace. As visitors engage more deeply by attending classes, participating in offerings, or making financial contributions of any size, they naturally transition to becoming Friends of the congregation.
What is one thing you wish more people understood about your faith and religious community?
One thing I wish more people understood about Unitarian Universalism and our religious community is that we are a faith of action, not just beliefs. Many people mistakenly think that because we don't have a shared creed or dogma, we don't have strong convictions or a clear purpose. In reality, our faith is deeply rooted in a set of principles that call us to live our values in the world.
