New Hire Required Training
Saint Mary’s College requires all new hires to complete the following mandatory trainings:
Anti-Harassment
All employees must complete sexual harassment prevention training within 30 days of hire and every two years thereafter. This training covers the prevention of harassment, discrimination, and retaliation in the workplace.
Bystander Awareness
This training equips employees with practical tools to safely recognize, prevent, and respond to concerning behavior. It reinforces our shared responsibility to foster a respectful and accountable community.
Title IX Mandatory Reporting
All faculty and staff are required to complete Title IX training annually. This course explains employees’ responsibilities to report sex-based discrimination, harassment, and misconduct under federal law and College policy.
Unconscious Bias
Unconscious Bias training is required for all employees upon hire. It promotes awareness of how implicit assumptions can influence workplace decisions and interactions and supports fairness and inclusion across the College.
Workplace Violence Prevention
All employees must complete Workplace Violence Prevention training annually. This course outlines how to recognize warning signs, respond to threats, and maintain a safe campus environment in alignment with California requirements.
