Tuition by Program
2022-2023 Tuition
Students are billed tuition per unit for each semester they are enrolled in courses. Tuition can be paid in full or through a monthly payment plan set up through the business office. Tuition is subject to change between cohorts and books and materials are extra.

Apply for FAFSA
If you haven’t already, be sure to apply for federal aid through FAFSA using SMC’s school code: 001302. It’s first-come-first-serve, so complete the FAFSA application as soon as possible after October 1, 2022. Final FAFSA application deadline for all other federal aid: June 30, 2023.

Fellowships and Teaching Assistantships
Most graduate programs at the School of Liberal Arts offer teaching assistantships, fellowships and tutoring positions for those who qualify. You can apply for these by indicating that you are interested in the application. More specific information is available from each program's department.
