Important Dates

• Summer 2026 housing application will open April 13th 2026 and close May 4th 2026
• Spring to Summer Housing Transition 
  • Students staying between spring housing and summer housing will transition to their summer room assignment (tentatively slated for Ageno B) June 1st-June 2nd
  • Please note Monday 5/25 is a holiday, and on Tuesday 5/26 and 5/27 there will be a scheduled campus power shutdown and during that time no one is able to remain in the residence halls and students who need to stay on campus between Spring and Summer housing will need to find off campus arrangements during this period
    • Your items can remain in your Spring room during the shutdown taking place 5/26 and 5/27 (but you cannot remain in the room), and then you'll move rooms 6/1/2026
    • If you have questions or concerns about off campus accommodations during the shutdown, please reach out to housing@stmarys-ca.edu
• Summer to Fall Housing Transition
  • Students staying between summer housing and fall housing will transition to their fall room assignment August 5th-August 6th.  Summer students transitioning to fall housing assignment will pick up there key starting from 12pm on 8/5 and have until 12pm on 8/6 to be checked out of their summer room.

• Housing Application for 2026-2027 Academic Year opened March 3rd 2026.
  • We still have housing available for the upcoming academic year!
• New Student Move-In (students who attended June Orientation)
  • Thursday August 27th 2026 9am-1pm
    • 9am-11am Last Names A-L
    • 11am-1pm Last Names M-Z
• New Student Move-In (students who are attending the August Orientation)
  • Tuesday August 25th 2026 1pm-3pm
• New Transfer Student Move-In (for those who did not move in earlier in the week)
  • Saturday August 29th 9am-12pm
    • Check-In will take place at the long parking lot leading up to Michael E Ageno (Ageno A)
  • Early Move-in Request form will be available on the housing portal on 8/5/2026 (unable to approve requests for move-in earlier than August 28th)
• Returning Student Move-in (2nd Years, Juniors, Seniors, Graduate Students, etc.)
  • Sunday, August 30th 2026 9am-3pm (at your assigned residence hall/area)
    • Students can apply to move in up to 1 day early via the early arrival request form on the housing portal.  We are unable to approve any earlier requests
    • 8/29/2026 approved early move-ins will take place 9am-12pm at the long parking lot leading up to Michael E Ageno (Ageno A)
• Fall 2026 Classes Start
  • Monday August 31st
• Fall 2026 Residence Halls Closure
  • Residence Halls Close December 18th 12pm
    • Students can apply to stay late for up to 2 days or for the entire break for an additional charge (application will be available on housing portal)
    • All rooms will be entered for health and safety inspections, including late stay/winter break approved residents

Jan/Spring 2027

• Residence Halls Re-Open 
  • 9am on January 3rd 2027
• New Jan/Spring Student Orientation
  • February 6th 2027
• Housing Application for 2027-2028 Academic Year
  • Opens March 1st 2027 and closes March 23rd 2027.
• Returning Student Room Selection for 2027-2028 
  • April 6th-April 8th 2027 during Spring 2027 semester
    • This will take place in-person at the Soda Center (Moraga Room) tentatively slated for 5-10pm each of those days
• Spring 2027 Residence Halls Closure
  • Residence Halls Close Thursday May 27th
    • Graduate commencement is 5/27/27, and undergraduate commencement is 5/28/27.
    • Students can request to stay up to 2 days late
      • Graduating students can request to say for 2 days late until 5/29/27 at no additional cost
