Returning Room Selection April 2025 - At a Glance Schedule v4

April 8th - Day 1

Day 1 of Room Selection will be for students who want to live in a townhouse (everyone must be rising Juniors/Seniors/Grads).  Room Selection Appointment Timeslots will then be assigned by group size, with groups of 6 going first, then groups of 5, 4, 3, 2, and groups of 1.

April 9th - Day 2

Day 2 of Room Selection will be for students who want to live in suite style housing EXCEPT those who are a group of 1 by themselves looking for a suite single.  Room Selection Appointment Timeslots will then be assigned by group size, with groups of 6 going first, then groups of 5, 4, 3, 2, and groups of 1 (who want a space in a suite double, NOT a single).  Students who are in a group by themselves that want a single style room will be assigned appointment times on Day 3.  Please note singles are not guaranteed for those who request that as their top room preference.

April 10th - Day 3

Day 3 of Room Selection will be for students who want to live in a single bedroom by themselves and are not in a group with anyone else.   In addition to any remaining suite singles throughout the canyon suite style buildings, Justin Hall will have 30 or so deluxe dorm singles (double rooms as single rooms, communal style restroom) held for groups of 1 as well.  Room Selection Appointment Timeslots on the last day will ensure priority timslots for rising Sophomores in groups of 1 looking for singles in Justin Hall, followed by Upperclass students looking for suite singles. Please note room type preferences are not guaranteed, so if you are able to join a larger group to pick a suite single bedroom we recommend doing so.

Gender Inclusive Housing

Campus Housing offers gender-inclusive housing options for students. It is the intention of Campus Housing to make room assignments on how you, the student, identify. Please contact the Housing Operations Manager (925-631-4897) to discuss your housing preferences. Students are also able to opt into gender inclusive housing (GIH) in their housing application which'll allow them to connect with other students interested in GIH on the roommate selection page and live in a variety of room types across campus. For additional support and resources, please contact the Director of the Intercultural Center (925-631-8358) or the Director of the Center for Women and Gender Equity (925-631-4171). Please refer to the Saint Mary's College Nondiscrimination Disclosure found in the College's Undergraduate Student Handbook.
