Teacher Education Programs

Our faculty and students know that our educational system must do better. Our programs are rooted in a social justice framework. Coupled with Saint Mary’s Lasallian pedagogy and commitment to social justice, our students are prepared to be reflective teachers and leaders in their school and community.

Next Steps

We're here to help you navigate the application process every step of the way. Here are some resources to give you more information about what you'll need as you get started.

"I know that I would not be the teacher I am today without you all. I felt prepared and ready to start teaching in the beginning because of your support and help. The skills that I learned from you all have been applied directly to my class and I am so thankful for you."

Katy Johnson - Multiple Subject Teaching Credential '20

"My favorite Saint Mary's memory is meeting all of the wonderful professionals who I now call friends. As well as the support I have received from my professors. It will never be forgotten."

Maria Anais Elera - Master in Education in Special Education '21

"When I see that someone has received a Saint Mary's education, they always separate themselves from others. I know what's going on inside their head and what they've done to get to where they are. That Saint Mary's degree or credential really does hold a lot of weight out in the educational community."

Adam Clark - Multiple Subject Credential '96, MA in Educational Administration '99, Preliminary Administrative Services Credential '99, EdD in Leadership '16
