School of Liberal Arts Graduate and Professional Studies (GPS) 

We offer two Masters of Fine Arts Programs (Creative Writing and Dance), two Masters of Arts programs (Communication and Kinesiology), and a Degree Completion Program for Dance Professionals (LEAP). Each of the Liberal Arts renowned graduate programs engages both intellect and spirit, fueling students' desire to transform society. Working with the College’s distinguished faculty, you will gain the knowledge and skills necessary to make meaningful and relevant contributions in a rapidly changing world.

Highly-Regarded MFA Programs

For decades, Saint Mary's MFA programs— in Creative Writing and Dance— have allowed students to hone their craft and learn from award-winning teaching artists.  Past and present faculty include Pulitzer Prize winners, Guggenheim recipients, and a US Poet Laureate.

MA in Communication

The Master of Arts in Communication offers a 1 year accelerated program for students coming from different educational backgrounds. Students focus on applied research, with opportunities to take electives and travel for their final semester.

We offer a unique degree completion programs for working adults, combining real-world, relevant experience with flexible online learning and a supportive peer-learning environment.
