In today’s competitive job market, a business education will give you an edge. As a business student at Saint Mary’s College, you will be fully prepared for a successful career in a world of commerce, a career grounded in responsible leadership with a global perspective. Many students gain professional experience during college and also earn academic credit for internships (BUSAD 195). More than 85% of seniors are either employed or attend graduate school following commencement. Many students work on class projects that showcase their skills to help them land jobs in emerging fields. Graduates pursue careers in many fields, like: consulting, financial management, web-based marketing, banking, data management, and general business. A degree in Business Administration is applicable to any career you choose.

Undergraduate SEBA Career Services:
A dedicated career services manager will assist with the job search and give personalized assistance with resumes and interviewing skills. Beginning in the freshman year, BUSAD students learn how to set up a Linkedin account and begin networking.

Students who want to combine study with practical experience in business should contact the SEBA Internship Coordinator in advance for information on a variety of opportunities available in both the private and public sectors. Course credit for internships may be available through enrollment in Busad 195.

Career Gateway Program:
School of Economics and Business Administration's Career Gateway program is a unique professional development program that will complement the courses you take and help you build the skills necessary for success in the business and professional world. This program will help you gain an understanding of what the job market of tomorrow will look like and how to be ready for it. More information.
