Data Science Club
ABOUT
The Data Science Club at Saint Mary’s fosters a vibrant community of students exploring data science and AI, featuring interactive workshops, industry guest speakers, and networking opportunities.
MISSION STATEMENT
Our mission at the Saint Mary's College Data Science Club is to foster learning, drive innovation, and promote ethical data practices. We cultivate a dynamic community that collaboratively explores and analyzes data to solve real-world problems. Through continuous growth and outreach, we aim to transform data into insights for a better future.

Excel Workshop
The Data Science Club hosted an Excel Workshop in collaboration with Gael Women in Business and the Biology Club. The event included a great set up with six stations for students to practice their technical skills. Topics included Excel basics & functions, data cleaning, data visualization, regression, pivot tables, conditional formatting, simulation, standard curve, and more.
Go Gaels!

Business Analytics Competition
Every spring, Data Science Club members and students compete in the Business Analytics Competition at Manhattan University. Teams analyze real datasets, create posters, and deliver presentations to highlight their data-driven insights and decision-making skills. In spring 2025, Saint Mary’s finished just one point shy of first place, and we look forward to competing in this exciting event each year.
